In this course you will be given opportunities to review, research, practice through hands-on activities, and demonstrate effective teaching strategies using technology. You will be introduced to multimedia concepts related to graphics, sound and video. You will examine presentation software and hardware used for educational purposes. Authoring tools exist today which make it possible to create powerful and exciting multimedia presentations. You will learn to create multimedia presentations incorporating text, audio, graphic and video components. You will investigate web-based multimedia resources, including streaming media and associated technologies. Prerequisite: Departmental approval.
