This course is an introduction to the basic concepts of the free enterprise system. The emphasis is on the roles of the entrepreneur and of competition in the U.S. economy and how this has influenced contemporary business. The importance of international business and the increasing role it plays in our shrinking world is described. The course is aimed at the nonbusiness major and will help the students better understand the economic system that they will be part of when they enter the world of work. Also listed as EC 105.
