Techn iques utilized in the identification of compound s include Fouri er transform inf rared, ultra-vi olet and visib le, multinuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectroscopies. Some synth etic procedures utilize an inert atmosphere approach. Laboratory 6 hours. Prerequisite: CHEM 4334 or concurrent enrollment.
