3 hours credit A course for persons who want to write short stories, especially those students who want to write literary short stories in the tradition of Ernest Hemingway, Raymond Carver, Joyce Carol Oates, and John Updike. Publishing will be discussed. Lecture 3 hours. May be repeated with different topics to a total of 6 hours. Prerequisite: ENGL 1213 and junior standing or permission of the department.
