An understanding of individual needs in relation to the social situation with an emphasis on crowd and mob psychology, public opinion, rumor, fads, fashions and mass soci ety. The relationsh ip between collective behavior, and social change in terms of innovation, conflict, political movements, and religious revivals. Lecture 3 hours. Prerequisite: SOCI 1113.
