3 hours credit An examination of the problems and issues related to the death penalty in the United States, including the history of capital puni shment, imp ortant Suprem e Court decisi ons, how the vari ous jurisdi ctions (stat e, federal and military) deal with the capital cases, the comparative costs of incarceration and execution, miscarriages of justice in capital cases and how the criminal justice responds to these issues.
