Exploration of conventional and hybrid powertrain subsystem models and application in a vehicle simulation, including internal combustion engines, electric motors and generators, transmissions, batteries, fuel cells, hydraulic reservoirs, ultracapacitors, flywheels, etc. Analytical modeling and optimization. 3 lectures, 1 laboratory. Prerequisite: ME 329 and ME 303.
