Introduction to differential equations and mathematical modeling. Examples, exercises and applications to emphasize problems in life sciences. Not open to students with credit in MATH 141, 142, respect-tively. 4 lectures. MATH 161 prerequisite: Completion of ELM require-ment and passing score on appropriate Mathematics Placement Examina-tion, or MATH 118 or equivalent. MATH 162 prerequisite: MATH 161.
