Baseband (PCM, PAM, DM) signals and transmission. Bandpass (PSK, FSK, ASK) modulation and demodulation techniques. Digital communica-tion signals in the presence of noise and detection of signals in Gaussian noise. Other topics such as: quantization, multiplexing and multiple access, spread spectrum techniques, coding, synchronization. 3 lectures. Prereq-uisite: EE 314 with a C- grade or better, EE 328 with a C- grade or better.
