This course is the study of biology of such plants as opium, DMT, marijuana, mescaline, psilocybin, cocaine, jimsonweed, ergot, strychnine, and digitalis; active principles and the parts used as drugs; diseases and disorders; genetic manifestations; use and misuse of drugs; and effects on human health, including the mental and social well being of man.
