Basic skin and scuba diving skills. Proper use of mask, fins, and snorkel, mechanical use of equipment, safety techniques, and panic control are stressed. Students must swim 400 yards, tread water for 15 minutes, and carry a ten pound weight 25 yards. Certification is optional. Special fee required. (Pass/Fail.)
