A practicum course which integrates concepts from Nursing Care of Adults II, Psychosocial Nursing, and Maternity Nursing. Students apply the nursing process to care for clients experiencing common, well-defined health problems affecting the genitourinary, respiratory, and sensorineural systems. Students will utilize therapeutic communication skills with both mentally-well and mentally-ill clients. Students will also apply the nursing process in the care of childbearing women. PR: All 100 level nursing courses, BIOL 202, 204, MATH 101 or higher, PSYC 210. CO: Third semester nursing courses.
