Introduces complex health problems associated with critical care to the student. Pathophysiologic processes and nursing care involved with coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, cardiac surgery, shock and increased intercranial pressure are examined. The student will apply the principles learned in this course in the clinical setting (NURS 212L). PR: All 100 level and third semester nursing courses. CO: Fourth semester nursing courses.
