Directed toward assisting the student in understanding the role of the graduate nurse in the current and evolving health care system. Students must possess an understanding of the history of nursing as a profession, the many issues facing nursing, and the legal and political concerns of the profession. Students will continue to develop skills in the roles of manager of care and member of the discipline of nursing. PR: All 100 level nursing courses, BIOL 201, 202, 203, 204, MATH 101 or higher, PSYC 103, 210. CO: Third semester nursing courses.
