MEET 204 - Design of Machine Elements

Designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of machine element design. Emphasis is placed on elements which are available in finished form and are commonly used as components in the design of machine systems. Some original design of limited complexity will also be done. Elements to be studied include shafts, springs, screws, belts, brakes, clutches, gears and bearings. Laboratory projects consist of design problems and graphic representation of the completed designs. PR: CIET 203, MEET 111, MATH 220.
