This course is designed to help secondary teacher candidates understand the field of education systemically and to understand the professional roles and ethical responsibilities required of the professional secondary educator. The course consists of classroom instruction and a guided field component. A grade of "C" or higher in thecourse is required in order to be eligible for admission into Stage II of Teacher Education.
