Prerequisite: COMS 1403, 1411 or consent of instructor. Corequisite: MATH 1113. An introduction to structured programming using C++. This is the beginning course in programming for majors in computer science, information systems and information technology. Programming principles taught in lecture are practiced in lab. Sequential, alternative, and iterative processing. Procedural abstraction and parameter mechanisms. Introduction to arrays, files, classes and records.
