Prerequisite: MATH 103, MATH 106, or MATH 107. Recommended: PSYC 100 or introductory social sciences course. An introduction to quantitative methods in the behavioral and social sciences and psychological research. Topics include the measurement of variables, measures of central tendency and dispersion, correlation, statistical inference and probability, hypothesis testing, t-tests, analysis of variance, and chi-squares tests. Students who receive credit for STAT 225 may not receive credit for the following courses: BEHS 202, BEHS 302, BMGT 230, ECON 321, GNST 201, MGMT 316, PSYC 200, SOCY 201, STAT 100, STAT 200, STAT 230.
