Introduction to theory and practice of graphic design. Meaning and aesthetics of image juxtaposition; juxtaposition of type and image. Art 3014. 3-D Digital Studio I. ( 3 cr; SP-1013, art or art education major or art minor or architecture and design studies minor or #; ยง1014; A-F only) Introduction to design using 3-D digital applications, particularly for the creation of images for the purpose of artistic expression or for use as graphic elements. The class will cover use of the software as well as artistic and design issues raised by this particular medium. Art 3016. 2-D Digital Studio I. ( 3 cr [max 6 cr]; QP-1002 or art or art ed major, 1013 or #; SP-Art or art ed major or art or photography minor, 1013 or #; A-F only) Computer as a fine arts medium. Development of a serial approach to visual imagery.
