This introductory physics course for non-science majors aims to survey the West's understanding of the physical universe from its origins in Greek thought to the latest discoveries of the 20th century. Since this covers such a vast area of study, the emphasis will be on breadth rather than depth. However, it is hoped that the student will acquire a comprehensive overview and appreciation for the discipline called physics.
