Study of the theories, techniques, and styles of light and sound design and and execution, including development of concepts based on script analysis and research. Based on these concepts students will then develop light designs from concept sketches through light-plot and accompanying dimmer-plots, circuit-plots, and cue-sheets. Students will also develop sound designs from verbal "sketches" through "cut" lists, sample tapes, and cue-sheets. Must be taken concurrently with TH 459L. Prerequisites: TH 243, 359 and permission of Instructor.
