The climate, soils, landforms, and vegetation of the region will be interrelated with the sequence of human occupancy and activities from prehistoric times to the present. Emphasis upon changing perceptions and utilization of the Great Plains environment and the emergence of a distinctive contemporary region. Field trips may be a part of course activities.
