Current methods, materials and research findings related to the teaching of reading and writing at the intermediate level. Teaching advanced reading and writing skills in reading and writing programs and in content areas will be examined. Strategies to develop higher questioning skills and study skills, laboratory projects and demonstrations of instructional techniques, and reading and writing principles, program development, and instructional and orgainzational procedures. Taken as part of the Professional Year, Semester #1.
