Description:
Survey of organic chemistry principles and applications for students requiring one semester of Organic Chemistry. The nonclemclature, structure, physical and chemical properties and reactions of the principle families of ogranic compounds is covered. Carbohydrates, lipids, enzymes, amino acids and protein synthesis is also covered at an introductosry level. Prerequisite: CHEM 132/132L or CHEM 140/140L. Concurrent enrollment in CHEM 231L required.
