4 hours Study and application of models, theories, strategies and techniques of social work practice with groups, organizations and communities. Emphasis is placed on the integration and synthesis of valuing, thinking, and behaving in the social practice process. A process model considers practicing three phases: beginnings (engagement and assessment), middles (action/intervention), and endings (evaluating and concluding). Prerequisites: SW315 and SW325 or consent of instructor. Must be admitted to the social work program. Includes 3 hr. lab per week.
