2 hours A study of movement education as an approach to teaching physical education within the curriculum. Emphasis will be on the elementary school level. The student will study, participate, and direct the activities involved in a movement education approach. The focus of the course will be concerned with movement factors involved in both structured and unstructured movements as well as the acquisition of motor learning. Content will include tumbling and gymnastics, individual manipulative activities and games.
