3 hours Exposure to geometric systems different from the standard Euclidean geometry of high school. Designed for students preparing to teach middle and secondary mathematics, the course will cover axiomatic development of geometric systems, formal and informal proofs in Euclidean geometry, properties to two and three-dimensional figures, and transformations. Some topics of non-Euclidean geometries will be investigated. Prerequisite: MA102 College Algebra/Trigonometry and high school geometry.
