Critical examination of theoretical debates and discussion of empirical evidence on issues pertaining to current debates on gender, globalization, and development. Topics include household economics; bargaining and gender relations; debates over paid/unpaid labor; gender differences in wages and employment; trade, multinationals, and feminization; structural adjustment and poverty; gender mainstreaming of economic analysis and policy.
