Analysis, through cultural studies perspective, of exhibitions of Chicana/Chicano and Latina/Latino art that have occupied space in mainstream museums across U.S. since mid-1980s. Examination of how these shows both serve and subvert multicultural agenda in art world and how political identities are packaged and produced in process of exhibition-making. Field trips to local museums. Letter grading.
