Seminar, two hours; field placement, eight hours. Limited to juniors/ seniors. Service learning placement in communitybased organization, labor union, or service-oriented nonprofit organization. Study of role that these organizations play in improvement and change of Chicana/ Chicano communities. Students meet on regular basis with instructor and provide periodic reports of their experience. Individual contract with supervising faculty member required. Letter grading.
