Tutorial, three hours. Requisites: course 10 or 10W or 20 or comparable knowledge in Asian American studies, 3.0 grade-point average or better. Limited to juniors/seniors. Directed reading of scholarly work or supervised research between student and faculty member. No original research or project expected, but tangible evidence of mastery of subject matter required. May be repeated for maximum of 8 units. Individual contract required. P/NP or letter grading.
