Topics include primitivism, gender, and sexuality in modernist art; origins of abstraction, collage, photomontage, and readymade; rise of automatism and chance procedures; art, utopia, and political revolution; antimodernism and fascism; mass culture, machine paradigm, and work of art in age of mechanical reproduction.
