Course has two interrelated objectives: (1) to introduce students to ethnography of communication - description and analysis of situated communicative behavior - and sociocultural knowledge that it reflects and (2) to train students to recognize, describe, and analyze relevant linguistic, proxemic, and kinesic aspects of face-to-face interaction.
