Directed Dissertation Study Fall 2008, Spring 2009. One, two, or three credits. Dissertation research and writing is supervised by a dissertation director. A student may take up to three credits of directed dissertation study per semester and may have a maximum of nine credits total of directed dissertation study. Grading is pass/fail. Students are encouraged to take elective courses outside the Department of Economics. These include courses offered by other New School for Social Research departments as well as those offered at Milano The New School for Management and Urban Policy.
