Prerequisite: SOC 451. This course is designed to teach the students mainly nonparametric statistical techniques along with a few parametric statistical tests. The goal of the course is not only to teach students majoring in sociology but many other disciplines where statistics are applied. The course involves manual computation of various statistical tests to gain insights into computer generated results. Statistical tests will be presented in several types of research designs to enhance students' understanding of applied statistics.
