This course is designed to integrate the research of effective teaching and learning with theory and practice. Students will engage in micro-teaching and will be expected to demonstrate mastery of fourteen competencies measured by the Mississippi Teacher Assessment Instrument. Students will also be introduced to classroom management strategies for effective classroom discipline and teaching routines. The clinical practice will be a field based activity.
