-Fa, Sp, Su Students with an emphasis in political communication may elect to complete a capstone internship for their senior project. Internship experiences must be approved by faculty within the political communication specialization and must demonstrate strong academic preparation and a capacity for professional development during the internship experience. Prerequisites: COM-2050 Communication Theory; COM-2220 Communication Research; COM-2820 Political Communication; COM-3120 Argumentation and Debate; COM-3150 Gender, Politics, and Communication; COM-3810 Political Speechwriting; COM-4210 Public Opinion and Polling;COM-4810 Research Pre-Seminar.
