Basic literary genres (prose, drama, poetry) are presented as a general introduction to French literature. Contemporary works will be used primarily, though examples from other centuries may also be included. Enjoyment and appreciation of literary French is an important objective of the course, and the aural oral aesthetics of the literature will be emphasized. Prerequisite: FRE 301, 307, 310, 325, or 344. Take FRE-301 FRE-307 FRE-310 FRE-325 or FRE-344;
