and Cultures Students must be admitted to the Jimenez-Porter Writers' House. Prerequisite: permission of department. Repeatable to 6 credits if content differs. Colloquium designed to improve students' skills in literary and communication arts through lectures and discussions on the history and craft of writing across cultures. Topics include poetry and fiction in translation, writing for different media, genre writing, autobiography and memoir, and publishing and publication: the history and future of the book. Regular class attendance, participation and some written work will be expected of students.
