ANSC 260 - Laboratory Animal Management

Two hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory per week. Prerequisite: ANSC101 and ANSC103. Credit will be granted for only one of the following: ANSC260 or ANSC413. Formerly ANSC413. A comprehensive course in care and management of laboratory animals. Emphasis will be placed on physiology, anatomy and special uses for the different species. Disease prevention and regulations for maintaining animal colonies will be covered. Field trips will be required.
