This is a Texas Common Course Number. Prerequisite: Developmental Reading 0093 or English as a Second Language (ESOL) 0044 or have met the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standard in Reading. The history of philosophy from the Renaissance through the 19th century is examined. Emphasis is on continental rationalism, British empiricism, Kantian metaphysics and epistemology, and the Hegelian system as it relates to 20th century philosophies.
