This is a WECM Course Number. Corequisite/Concurrent: Students will be required to submit to and pass a criminal background search as prescribed by the program and college. A study of the role and responsibility of the instructional teacher assistant with emphasis on development of professionalism and effective communication strategies with adults. Topics include the various code of ethics governing the educational field, the issue of confidentiality, learners' rights and responsibilities, and challenges facing schools. (3 Lec.)
