THET 222 - Foundations of Acting and Performance

Prerequisite: permission of department. Students must have less than 60 credits completed. Formerly THET112, THET220 and THET288. Credit will be granted for only one of the following: THET222; or (THET112, THET220, and THET288). Introduction to various acting techniques, especially Dallas- and Spolin-based improvisation and affective memory; an exploration of the nature of the planned performance and the collaborative creative process. Class will culminate with showcase performance experiences.
