Introduction to the texts, culture, history, and traditions of a range of world religions including African religions, Buddhism, Christianity, Confucianism, Hinduism, Islam, and Judaism among others. A variety of modern academic methods and approaches to religion such as those provided by the disciplines of sociology, psychology, ethnography, and feminist criticism are examined.
