Prerequisite: permission of instructor. Senior standing. For PHYS majors only. Repeatable to 4 credits. Individual, focused research under the guidance of a faculty member. Discussion, presentations and, if appropriate, research group projects involved. Student must submit final research paper for completion of course. Paper may also serve as thesis required for High Honors in Physics. Not intended as a general "reading course" (see PHYS499).
