Prerequisite: MATH214 or equivalent. Course for middle school teachers. This course cannot be used toward the upper level math requirements for MATH/STAT majors. Not open to students who have completed MATH498B. Credit will be granted for only one of the following: MATH481, MATH498B, or MATH485. Formerly MATH498B. Prepares teachers with elementary certification to teach simple data analysis and probability in middle school. Focuses on understanding basic statistics, data analysis, and related theoretical ideas.
