Prerequisite: A grade of C (2.0) or better in MATH130 or MATH140 or equivalent. Restricted to students with majors in College of Chemical & Life Sciences. Credit will be granted for only one of the following: MATH131, MATH141, or MATH221. Continuation of MATH130, including an introduction to autonomous differential equations, probability (including conditional probability and the normal and binomial distributions), and statistical reasoning (including confidence intervals). Alongside the mathematical concepts will be applications in biology.
