The course examines the rise of communism and Stalinism in the USSR by evaluating 75 years (1917 - 1992) of domestic and foreign policies leading to the collapse of the Soviet Union. Recent material made available from the Soviet archives and video presentation will be utilized in conjunction with required textbook.
