Designed to encourage students to pursue an area of original research in Spanish linguistics, cultural or literary studies of Spain of Latin America. Allows student to study a subject area in more depth than is possible in the traditional classroom setting. Public presentation of research is required. May be repeated once for a maximum of eight credits. Prerequisites: Junior standing and permission of department chair and instructor who will direct study.
