Experiential examination of the effects human activities have on the environment. Field trips may include: aquaculture facilities, commercial fishing operations, factory farms (of both plants and animals), organic farms, large-scale composting operations, sewage treatments plants, pine plantations, chip mills and power plants. Web enhanced, many readings and homework assignments will require Internet access. May not receive credit for both BIOL 105 and ENVR 102 without permission of instructor. Three hours per week. Meets General Education IVB (Prior to Fall 2008: IIIB).
